The 2nd Blood Donation Drive - 30th June 2010

Allowing more employees to contribute to and participate in a variety of CSR activities, TRG International has organised 3 Blood Donation drives in this year. Being aware that a pint of blood can save up to three lives, the 2nd drive taken place on 30th June 2010 at the Humanitarian Blood Donation Center of HCMC Red Cross, was supported by enthusiastic employees from different levels in TRG International.

Duong Ba Phu Huong, from RetailPro team said that “It’s good to attend this program because actually you don’t lose anything when giving blood, as blood can be recovered naturally. If we can help other people without losing anything, then why don’t we attend blood donation? Currently, Vietnam only has 1% of its population giving blood donation. By being a member of such program, I hope I could change people’s mind and be part of the program.”

This program attracted not only employees but also interns, who have never experienced such humanitarian activity before. Therefore, they were enthusiastic and more than willing to attend. “This program helps to save millions of lives. I choose to join because I want to help. Getting new experience is also one of the targets”, said Lu Hai Tu, a RMIT BIS intern.

There will be the 3rd Blood Donation drive in October 2010.
