I’m David, an Search Engine Marketing Specialist at TRG. I create and manage TRG’s paid search marketing campaigns across various platforms (Google, Bing, Facebook etc), to drive traffic to our website, raise awareness of the TRG brand, generate new leads, and acquire new customers.  
My parents don’t understand what my job is, so when they ask me what I do all day, I tell them that I analyse data, control budgets, and edit copy – but of course it’s a bit more complicated than that!
I have to manage budgets for all our various SEM campaigns to make sure we don’t overspend. I have to run tests, analyse data, and identify trends & insights to ensure that our campaigns are as effective as possible and achieve the maximum ROI. I spend a lot of time analysing and identifying keywords, as well as looking at keyword trends and at what keywords our competitors are using. And of course I have to look at our own website analytics to continually fine-tune our copy and landing pages.

  • Proven SEM experience and success managing paid search / advertising campaigns across Google, Bing and Facebook etc. 
  • Experienced in performance marketing, conversion, and online customer acquisition 
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in SEM 
  • In-depth experience with bid management tools 
  • Experience with website analytics e.g, Google Analytics 
  • Strong analytical skills and experience generating SEM reports 
  • Familiarity with A/B and multivariate testing 
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints 
  • Degree in Marketing
