Love coffee? Want to “wake up & smell the coffee” every day? We’re PJ’s Coffee Vietnam, the Vietnam Master franchisor of the original PJ’s Coffee, founded in New Orleans USA in 1978, and we’re looking for an Operations Manager!

We serve a wide variety of hot, iced and frozen coffee drinks using only the top beans, as well as our signature cold-drip coffee (did you know PJ’s invented this decades ago?), tea, speciality hot and iced beverages, and pastries, and currently have 3 stores in HCMC - and we need an F&B Operations superstar to oversee the smooth running of our outlets and to help us grow and open even more stores.  

What’s involved in the job (apart from coffee)? Primarily, operations - you’ll be coordinating & overseeing the management of all our Vietnam stores; handling customer feedback and complaints and using the data to make improvements to our stores and menus; implementing promotions and events; and managing our stores’ financial performance and helping to control costs.

You’ll also be expected to plan each store’s budgets, human resources and inventory, as well as ensuring that all our outlets comply with both brand and governmental standards in safety and hygiene.  

You’ll be a people person, and be responsible for managing our store staff - the front line of our operations! You’ll need to make sure each store is adequately staffed; provide training, coaching, counselling, evaluation and, occasionally, disciplining for your teams; and always act as an example of what great customer service looks like. You’ll also drink lots of coffee.

Job Requirements

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • A love of coffee! 
  • Native-level English (native speakers are welcome to apply) and Vietnamese 
  • Degree in hospitality; additional qualification in business administration or other related fields is preferred 
  • 3-5 years’ experience as Manager or higher in a Food & Beverage related field 
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office 
  • Strong problem-solving skills 
  • Strong leadership, ability to train & coach others 
  • Good interpersonal communication skills 
  • Organised and efficient 
  • Results and customer service orientated 
  • Budget planning and compliance orientation 
  • Multi-tasking across multiple brands 
  • Strategic planning and tactical implementation
